7th international scientific and professional conference "The Challenges of Today", places special emphasis on the synergy of the blue and green economy and new approaches to sustainability, bringing together scientists, experts and practitioners dealing with issues of sustainable development, ecological transition and circular economy.

Key topics of the conference include: green transition, i.e., the integration of ecological solutions in industry and business, blue economy and sustainable management of marine and coastal resources, circular economy and sustainable technologies and innovations, all with the aim of connecting the academic community with the economy.

Šibenik is in the central part of the Croatian Adriatic Coast, in the picturesque and indented bay where the Krka River, one of the most beautiful karst rivers in Croatia enters the sea. Šibenik today is the administrative, political, economic, social and cultural center of the County of Šibenik and Knin which extends along the 100 kilometer long coastline between the Zadar and Split Rivieras, extending up to 45 kilometers into the hinterland area, at the bottom of Dinara mountain.
