The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic clinical presentations of the most common diseases in the field of gynecology and obstetrics and to equip them with an understanding of the pathophysiological basis and symptomatology of the most common gynecological diseases, with the goal of applying this knowledge in the healthcare of mothers and newborns.

1. List the most common gynecological diseases and their symptoms, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
2. Explain the physiological processes of the menstrual cycle, fertilization, pregnancy, and childbirth
3. Explain the pathological processes of the menstrual cycle, fertilization, pregnancy, and childbirth
4. Explain the measures for monitoring the mother and newborn
5. Interpret the legal regulations in the Republic of Croatia related to abortion and sexual intercourse with a minor
6. Explain the methods for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, as well as the methods for primary and secondary prevention of malignant diseases of the female reproductive system
