Šibenik University of Applied Sciences proudly announces its participation in a new project titled "SIT - SUSTAINABILITY IN TCLF (Textiles, Clothing, Leather, Footwear)", as part of the Erasmus+ Innovation Alliance program. The SIT project focuses on promoting transformational, innovative, and collaborative activities to enable innovation in the circular business model, taking into account related technological and social innovations.

The project brings together 15 partners from 8 countries (Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, and Slovakia), forming a strong international consortium. This consortium includes organizations from the fields of vocational education and training (VET), continuing vocational education and training (c-VET), higher education (HE), and representatives from the business sector, with the goal of bridging the gap between education and the labor market.

The project's key outcomes will include an analysis of emerging professions and skill gaps, the development of specialized training modules, curriculum testing, and the promotion and development of a supportive ecosystem. The project started on February 1, 2024, and will run until January 31, 2027.

Through this initiative, Šibenik University of Applied Sciences contributes to the development of new educational approaches that align with labor market needs in the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear sectors, while also promoting sustainability and the circular economy. Participation in such an international project enables knowledge and experience exchange with partners from different countries, as well as the development of innovative educational programs that will equip our students for the challenges and demands of the modern labor market.

We anticipate that the SIT project will have a significant impact on education and the labor market in the TCLF sectors, fostering sustainable practices and innovations that will contribute to environmental, economic, and social well-being at local, national, and international levels. Šibenik University of Applied Sciences is honored to contribute to this important initiative and looks forward to the project's future achievements and successes.
