Description:
The goal of the course is to enable students to understand fundamental concepts, principles, and phenomena in the economic system, as well as to critically analyze and comprehend the dynamic developmental processes and performance of the Croatian and European economy.
Learning outcomes:
  1. To describe the factors that influence the size and rate of natural and mechanical population movements; to analyze the age, economic, and educational structure of the population of Croatia and the EU, as well as the characteristics of various forms of population policy.
  2. To analyze the role of the state in the economic development of the Republic of Croatia and other EU countries.
  3. To compare different models of national economic development and analyze the impact of regional policies of countries.
  4. To evaluate the consequences of economic policy and the activities of individual economic entities in the context of the national economy and the economy of the EU.
  5. To connect current economic trends with economic theory and international economic practices.
