To acquaint students with the etiology and mechanisms of disease development, their clinical manifestations, diagnostic procedures, basic laboratory and instrumental examinations, and principles of treatment, in order to better understand the patient issues they encounter in their daily work.

1. explain elementary principles of pathogenesis in internal medicine diseases
2. describe the symptoms and signs of internal diseases
3. describe basic diagnostic procedures in diagnosing diseases
4. explain the methods of treatment of internal diseases
5. describe complications in internal medicine diseases
6. describe symptoms of urgent conditions related to internal diseases and measures of first aid
