To familiarize students with the basics of orthopaedic surgery, orthopaedics and traumatology (pain, symptoms, clinical picture, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, preoperative harvesting and preparation for the operative procedure, postoperative problems and complications and their treatment).

1. to clarify the symptomatology, pathology and pathophysiology of the most common surgical and orthopaedic pains and organ systems (abdominal, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastic and reconstructive surgery, traumatology, neurosurgery, urology and orthopaedics)
2. to clarify the diagnosis, clinical picture, surgical approaches (types of surgery) to the most common surgical and orthopaedic pain and organ damage
3. describe the application of surgical procedures for the treatment of acute surgical pain and injuries (e.g. scale and algorithms)
4. describe the physical and psychological preparation of surgical and orthopaedic patients
5. describe possible post-operative problems and complications and ways to prevent them
6. describe possible post-operative problems and complications and ways to prevent them
