The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire basic knowledge about European law and its application and the institutions of the European Union.

1. To analyze European law and its relationship with national law
2. To identify sources of European law
3. To differentiate the powers of the European Union
4. To demonstrate the institutional set-up of the European Union
5. To make a request to the European Court of Justice
6. To evaluate the impact of European law on the national legal systems of the Member States
7. To anticipate the future development of European integration processes
