The main goal of the course is to acquaint students with the specifics of non-profit organizations and their organization and way of working. The goal is to train students to understand the structure of non-profit organizations, the way they are established and work. Instruct students on all positive legal regulations that are important for the establishment and their work, both in domestic law and in the law of the European Union. The aim of the course is also to acquire the competencies necessary for participation in administrative adjustments in the field of non-profit sector law in accordance with European standards for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

1. categorize the basic concepts of civil society and non-profit organizations in the Republic of Croatia
2. compare and evaluate the legal regulations of non-profit organizations in the Republic of Croatia in the light of relevant international standards
3. propose and design the establishment of certain non-profit organizations
4. prepare proposals for general acts of non-profit organizations in accordance with their goals and activities
5. critically analyze the effects and possibilities of cooperation between the state and the local community with non-profit civil society organizations
6. propose and/or supervise the activities of certain non-profit organizations
7. analyze administrative and administrative judicial practice in the field of non-profit organizations using available practice bases, regulations and professional literature
8. evaluate the development of legislation and practice in the Republic of Croatia under the influence of European Union law, as well as the practice of the European Court of Human Rights
