The course includes basic knowledge about the properties and specifics of certain types of goods, the latest knowledge in the field of identification, standardization, quality, conditions of transport and storage, and ecological acceptability of goods, and the types and importance of strategic interests.

1. Categorize and compare the basic terms related to the science of commodity knowledge.
2. Compare and differentiate types of products, their coding, labeling, transport and storage conditions.
3. Categorize and compare types of packaging material.
4. Analyze and evaluate the specific characteristics and reasons for using individual packaging materials for different products.
5. Differentiate and compare food preservation processes concerning the longevity and preservation of the product.
6. Analyze and predict the importance of food and non-food strategic goods then and now.
