Description:
The aim of the teaching process and course is to improve language structures, vocabulary and grammar. Special attention is paid to improving reading, understanding, writing and speaking techniques in the field of tourism and management. Mastering the vocabulary of the profession at a lower level. Teaching a foreign language aims to introduce students to new communication systems and enable their easier and more direct involvement in world events and familiarization with the elements of culture and civilization of the Italian-speaking peoples. Learning a foreign language is in line with the aspiration to preserve the wealth of diversity of multilingual Europe as well as encouraging the development of a culture of dialogue and civilization.
Learning outcomes:
  1. understand and apply basic terms from professional terminology related to business and tourism in Italian
  2. recognize and apply basic grammatical structures in texts and tasks using part of general language competences at level A1 and A2
  3. describe ways of promoting services and products, types of tourism in Italian
  4. describe the national parks in the Republic of Croatia, administrative and political division, typical menu, features of the tourist destination
  5. be able to independently read and analyze simpler texts in the fields and areas covered during class
  6. be able to communicate at a basic level in a foreign language within the course topics such as accommodation services, reservations, ordering
