Description:
The Introduction to Computer Networks course will provide you with an understanding of the fundamentals in the field of computer networking. Throughout the course you will learn about the basics of computer networking, including how data is transmitted between devices, how networks are designed and implemented, and the protocols and technologies used to enable communication between different devices.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Define and distinguish the basic concepts of networking technologies
  2. Describe and distinguish data transmission standards
  3. Evaluate the use of different media in data transmission
  4. Explain and evaluate the network address space
  5. Solve the basic addressing of simple networks
  6. Distinguish between mobile and wireless networks
