Description:
The goal is:
- Understanding the fundamental trends in tourism, getting to know the characteristics of modern tourism
- Understand the ways in which tourism affects the economic, social and ecological environment of the receiving country.
- Familiarize the student with the basic terminology of the profession
- Learn the basic principles of resources and attractions in tourism.
- Build a basis for understanding the economic aspects of tourism.
- Acquaint students with the drivers of development in tourism as well as with the consequences of tourism development.
Learning outcomes:
  1. Explain basic terms in the field of tourism.
  2. Identify resources in tourism and analyze space as a component of tourism development.
  3. Interpret the interdependence of tourism and complementary activities.
  4. Assess the place and scope of tourism in the structure of the national economy
  5. To identify key stakeholders in tourism development planning
