Description:
To familiarize the student with mental health, the most common pains and problems in psychiatry, aspects of mental health promotion and types of help for persons and their parents in coping with mental health problems. Students will also be able to apply the process of health care to psychiatric patients.
Learning outcomes:
  1. to clarify the concept of mental health, methods of mental health promotion and the impact of biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors on the development of mental disorders
  2. to list the basic signs and symptoms of the most common psychiatric pains and treatments of this type to help patients and members of their families
  3. to explain basic techniques of talking, group therapy and specific interventions in crisis situations
  4. to provide planned medical care for psychiatric patients
