To familiarize the student with mental health, the most common pains and problems in psychiatry, aspects of mental health promotion, and ways of helping people and their families cope with mental health problems. Students will also be able to apply the process of health care to psychiatric patients.

1. to provide planned medical care and remission of psychiatric patients
2. to develop a humane attitude towards mental health problems
3. to demonstrate the skills necessary for primary, secondary and tertiary care in mental health care
