Description:
Through this course, students will acquire fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge about cost-benefit analysis as a tool for assessing the feasibility of investment projects. They will be able to assess the financial sustainability of an investment project and evaluate its overall social impact.
Learning outcomes:
  1. to categorize and link concepts/components of cost-benefit analysis
  2. to evaluate the constraints in carrying out cost-benefit analysis, and suggest in what situations the method of cost-benefit analysis should be used purposefully,
  3. to identify and evaluate the financial and socio-economic costs and benefits of the investment project,
  4. to calculate and interpret project's financial and economic indicators,
  5. make a decision on the acceptability of the investment project, based on the results of the cost-benefit analysis,
  6. use materials and tools to search scientific and professional literature in Croatian and in English,
  7. present ideas, problems and solutions independently and in the team.
