Description:
Course objective:
Acquaint the student with the basics of organization, management and administration in the field of health care, which should enable students to understand processes in the field of organization, management and administration, and raise and improve the acquired skills
excellence in nursing practice.
Learning outcomes:
  1. explain management theories, management processes, terms of organizational culture, organizational structure, organizational principles and concepts, organization of work organization according to management concepts, specifics of strategic and operational management, and levels and methods of communication in work organization
  2. describe organizational and management skills in nursing practice, management methods at different management levels, time management methods: apply the principles of time management in nursing practice, principles of change management and decision-making methods in nursing practice
  3. explain the styles and models of human resource management, different models of work organization in the health care process; the way of delegating tasks and the supervisory process in nursing practice
  4. describe the functioning of the technical and structural support system and their application in nursing practice, categorization of patients in nursing practice: organization of nurses' work in relation to patient needs, calculation of the required number of nurses in relation to patient needs through direct indirect health care;
  5. - apply the principles of teamwork: team building, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach in health care and principles of quality and risk management in health care
  6. demonstrate key styles of people management, planning the schedule and number of nurses through patient categorization, ways of managing quality and risk prevention in health care, ways of managing time in relation to time stealers, and applying Lewin's change management scheme to practice
