Students will acquire comprehensive knowledge of business information systems and the fundamental skills required for their analysis, management, and effective utilization. Emphasis will be placed on systematically analyzing information systems, recognizing their boundaries, identifying stakeholders, assessing interrelationships, and understanding associated risks. Students will also gain insights into the role of critical system components and learn to recognize processes, define data structures, and establish procedures within the information system to support organizational objectives. Furthermore, security threats to the system will be analyzed, and techniques for their mitigation will be proposed. Practical application of data collection and analysis tools is an integral part of the exercises, providing students with the necessary skills for independent implementation and usage of business applications.

1. Understand the concept of a system and the importance of a systematic approach in analyzing a business information system.
2. Identify the boundaries of a system, external and internal stakeholders, and the relationships among them while comprehending the risks that arise.
3. Understand the role of critical system components and be capable of recognizing processes and defining data structures and procedures within the information system to support them.
4. Identify security threats within the system and propose techniques for their mitigation.
5. Utilize software tools for data collection and analysis.
6. Implement appropriate ready-made business applications and independently use them.
