The aim is that students, on the basis of theoretical knowledge and case studies, will be able to understand and apply basic statistical procedures and methods in the field of biomedicine, and that in their future work, they will independently and/or in an organised manner develop the application of the following methods of the acquired knowledge and skills.

1. Define and clarify the concepts of descriptive statistics
2. Display statistical data in tabular and graphical form
3. Calculate mean values and measures of dispersion and comment on the resulting calculations
4. Perform correlation and regression analysis and comment on the solutions and draw conclusions on the association of the phenomenon
5. To formulate a statistical hypothesis and perform a statistical test
